Professional Society Award/ University Award

“N.D. Kehar Award” for the best Ph.D. Thesis of Indian Veterinary Research Institute (IVRI), The Deemed University, Izatnagar (U.P) was presented at the 7th Convocation held on the 04th June, 2010.
“Young Scientist Award” at the 9th Karnataka Science Congress held at the University of Horticultural Sciences, Bagalkot during 15-17th September, 2013.
Conferred with the Best Veterinarian Award, (NAKULA AWARD) by the Karnataka Veterinary Association at the State Level Workshop held at Bengaluru during 20-21st July, 2019.

Other Achievements

Born on 20th May, 1970 in Karnataka, Dr. Prabhu, T. M. did his B.V.Sc & M.V.Sc in Animal Nutrition from Veterinary College, UAS, Bangalore in 1993 and 1996, respectively. Qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET, ASRB, ICAR) held in December, 1996 in the Professional Subject, Animal Nutrition and declared eligible for lectureship/Assistant Professorship in the State Agricultural Universities. He completed his Ph.D. with “Dr. N.D. Kehar Award” (2002-03) in Animal Nutrition from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, The Deemed University, Izatnagar, UP in 2002. Dr. Prabhu received C.S.I.R Senior Research Fellowship during his Ph.D. Programme. He has been conferred the “Jawaharlal Nehru Award” for “Outstanding Post Graduate Agricultural Research” for the year 2003 for “Outstanding Contribution in the field of Animal Nutrition” by ICAR, “Young Scientist Award” at Karnataka Science Congress held at Bagalkot during 15-17 September, 2013 and Best Veterinarian Award by KVA in 2019. He is teaching Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses and guided 15 Post Graduate Scholars for their research leading to award of degrees (M. V. Sc & Ph. D.). To his credit, he has 55 research publications in National and International Journals of repute, 70 Abstract papers, 50 Extension Bulletins, 3 Books and 4 Laboratory Manuals. Served as Resource Person for more than 100 Training Programmes including CVE programmes of KVC for Farmers / Field Veterinarians and others in UAS (Bengaluru) and KVAFSU, Bidar since 1998.
