Department of Veterinary Microbiology is one of the para-clinical disciplines of Veterinary Science established at Veterinary College, Shivamogga by the university since its inception (Year 2006).
Presently, the department is offering UG/PG courses as per MSVE-2016 of the Veterinary Council of India (VCI). There are 4 faculty members (Associate Professor=01, Assistant Professor= 03) in the department of which all are recognized as PG teachers by the university.
The department is well equipped with preparatory and analytical equipments (list of major equipments is appended) and also running few University funded Projects.Presently there is master’s (M.V.Sc) degree programme in the discipline of VMC in Shivamogga Veterinary college. Necessary faculty, equipment and laboratory facilities are available in the department to offer the M.V.Sc. degree programme in the discipline of VMC at department of Veterinary Microbiology, Veterinary College, Shivamogga.
