Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry
The Department of Veterinary Physiology and Department of Veterinary Biochemistry were merged together to form Department of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry on 7th August 2009. The department offers undergraduate courses of both Veterinary Physiology and Veterinary Biochemistry subjects as per VCI guidelines. The department is offering M.V.Sc in Veterinary Physiology and postgraduate courses of Veterinary Biochemistry as minor/supporting courses as per ICAR guidelines. The department is well equipped to cater to the needs of undergraduate & postgraduate education and to carry out quality research on the physiological and biochemical aspects of livestock health and production. Semi-auto biochemistry analyzer, auto hematology analyzer, micro plate reader, thermocycler, UV-Visible spectrophotometer and Electrophoresis apparatus are some of the important research facilities available in the department.
