Dairy Engineering
The Department of Dairy Engineering is one of the primary department of the degree programme which offers fifteen courses by which the students are exposed to the basics and latest topics in the area like equipment design, operation and processing of food and dairy processing equipment’s, instrumentation and process control, dairy plant design and layout, energy conservation and management, food engineering Etc. The Department has well-equipped laboratories to provide practical knowledge to students and farmers. The Department also participates in agricultural and dairy fares and Exhibitions organized by Universities or State Governments or other agencies and arranges the demonstration of processing technologies to the farmers. Finally, the graduates are molded to get into the esteemed institutes such as the National Dairy Research Institute and other institutes to pursue higher studies by clearing entrance examinations in the field of Dairy Engineering.
